Interested in Wiltshire and its past?
Thursday, 09 March, 2017
The Wiltshire Museum in Devizes has outstanding collections of national and local importance. Run by a charity founded in 1853 we are examining exciting new opportunities and are seeking new trustees to help shape our future.
We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have skills or experience in marketing, audience development, developing projects or assisting with fundraising. However, if you have other skills that you can offer, then please do get in touch.
Our Trustees usually meet 5 times a year and there is an average time commitment of 10 to 15 hours a month, mainly involving emails and documents. You may choose to get more involved in our activities, perhaps by joining a working group or committee.
To find out more, please send an e-mail to Karen Jones, our Company Secretary. You can download a Trustee Role description here (opens in a new window).
For a copy of the Charity Commissions guidance ‘The essential trustee: what you need to know, what you need to do (CC3)' click here (opens in a new window).
We are holding two informal events where you can meet other Trustees and find out more about the role, before deciding on taking your interest further. These are on Saturday 25 March (10.20-12.30) and Thursday 30 March (5pm-7pm) and you would be very welcome to join us.
Closing date for applications is noon on 7 April 2017. Trustees will normally take up office following an election at our AGM in October.
