Monday to Saturday - 10am to 5pm (last admission 4.30pm)
Sundays - 12 noon to 4pm (last admission 3.30pm)
Archive & Library Opening Hours
1st Saturday of the month: 10am-5pm (by appointment only - please arrange at least one week in advance).
Please note that the Archive & Library may close for lunch between 1pm and 2pm.

If making a special or long distance journey, please check with us beforehand that we will be open. As an independent museum with a small staff we occasionally have to close at short notice.
GIFT AID ADMISSION:*
Children under 16: FREE - up to four children under 16 with an adult paying standard or gift aid admission (Excluding school and organised groups)
Concessions available for over 60s, students showing a valid ID card and registered disabled visitors.
Archive and Library admission is charged ins the same way as entry to the Museum, i.e. £6.00 Adults, £5.00 Concessions (£5.50/£4.50 non-tax payers). WANHS members are admitted free, but must show their membership cards on entry. Museum visitors are welcome to come in and look around, but must produce ID if they wish to use the collection.
Adults: £4.50 per head
Children under 16: £2.00 per head, in teacher led groups.
Children under 16: £4 per head, if participating in a Museum led workshop (£3 per head for Devizes schools).
Tour leader and driver admitted free.

Booked parties are welcome during normal opening hours and we can open specially for group visits. We can also arrange catering - from a simple sandwich lunch to a formal dinner at our Board table. Please contact us to see how we can help make your visit to the Museum special.
* Gift Aid admissions include a voluntary donation of at least 10% which supports the Museum and the development of its collections. If you are a UK taxpayer, please complete a Gift Aid declaration which will allow the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society (Registered Charity number 1080096) to claim an extra 20% from the Government on your payment.
Entry is FREE for members of WANHS (the Society which owns the Museum and Library) as well as members of Salisbury & South Wiltshire Museum, Dorset County Museum, the Museums Association, the Art Fund and carers accompanying a registered disabled visitor. Blue Badge guides also have free entry. A 50% discount is available for English Heritage members
Service dogs only permitted.
Charges apply for special events, lectures and workshops, including children's activities.
Our Archive & Library and Art collections
The Museum is arranged in two Grade II Georgian buildings and has many steps, stairs and changes of level. A lift is now available to upper levels, with ramps available to assist wheelchairs users in some areas. See Accessibility for further details.
