Day course: Stone Carving with Andrew Ziminski

A one-day workshop, perfect for beginners looking to pick up the basic skills required to carve stone.

You will set out and create a relief carving using Bath stone, which is easy to work, and you will be able to take it home with you.

Andrew is a SPAB William Morris Craft Fellow and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and as a Partner of Minerva Stone Conservation Ltd works all over the South West to conserve our built heritage. He has written two best selling books The Stonemason and Church Going which was published in 2024.

Time: 10.30 am to 4 pm

Lunch: is not provided - bring your own to eat at the Museum or nearby Hillworth Park, or visit one of the many cafes in Devizes Market Place.
