A one-day workshop perfect for beginners looking to learn a new technique, or for those who have done a little engraving and wish to progress their technique further.
You will be taught the principles of designing for wood engraving, methods of engraving into a block of end grain wood, and how to print by hand from your finished block.
Robin Mackenzie is an elected member of The Society of Wood Engravers and has exhibited his work all over the UK. He creates prints for books, magazines, merchandise and works from his open studio at Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne, Dorset. The activity will take place in the Museum's lecture hall, located on the first floor and accessible via a platform lift for the less mobile.
