A session aimed at under 8s but old children are welcome and there will be activities suitable for them as well.
Explore Palaeolithic artefacts like animal bones and stone tools. Take part in a Stone tool investigation activity and create cave art ‘wall’ picture, portable cave art and a fun mammoth model!
There will also be an opportunity to visit our galleries to discover our Palaeolithic finds.

Adult supervision required:
Adult – one accompanying adult (per child) – free
Additional adult per child – £3
Time: 10.30am-12.30pm.
You are welcome to us our lecture room or outdoor area for a picnic and then carry on exploring the rest of the Museum after lunch.
Ages: under 8s. We can accommodate siblings outside these ages who want to come along: over 8s who would like to take part will need a ticket; babies/ toddlers on knees or in pushchairs not participating then a ticket is not needed.

Refreshments: we do not have an on-site cafe, but you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
