Explore the amazing pottery in our galleries and look at how pottery has changed through the ages.
Have a go at putting the pottery back together, using clues to identify pottery, try sketching some of the shapes and patterns and making your own lidded pot. (based on the Aldbourne cup that we have on loan)
Our Museum Explorer’s club is for 5-7 year olds and will be an introduction to popular topics such as the Romans and Ancient Egyptians. Take part in fun activities such as role play, art and craft, dressing in costume and exploring our galleries
4 year olds who have started school (or are being home educated) are welcome too.
There’s no annual fee, but pre-booking is essential to help us plan the sessions. Each session costs £6 per child, maximum number of children per session is 10. Parents are welcome to stay (no charge).
New members are always welcome
For more information, please contact Ali Rushent, our Learning and Outreach Officer.
Not 5 to 7? Then why not come along to our Your Curator’s club for 8-13 year olds (2nd Saturday of the month), or Curious Kids for 2 – 4 year olds (first Saturday of the month).
