An interactive Roman themed session.

Handle objects from Roman times to find out who they were and how they lived. Explore our Roman gallery with fun activities and finish by making your own Roman coaster using glass tesserae on a wooden base (to be collected the following week or session).

Our Museum Explorer’s club is for 5-7 year olds and will be an introduction to popular topics such as the Romans and Ancient Egyptians. Take part in fun activities such as role play, art and craft, dressing in costume and exploring our galleries

4 year olds who have started school (or are being home educated) are welcome too.

There’s no annual fee, but pre-booking is essential to help us plan the sessions. Each session costs £6 per child, maximum number of children per session is 10. Parents are welcome to stay (no charge).
