OUTING: Erlestoke Wood and Salisbury Plain – Hidden Wiltshire Walk

Starting at Erlestoke Wood, we head through the woodlands, via its steep banks on to Salisbury Plain where there are sweeping views across to the Pewsey Vale on one side and Imber Range on the other. Past Stoke Hill Farm we will find ourselves in a field which was the location for the opening and closing scenes of the movie “1917”, before descending through Hill Wood.

Start time: 2.30 pm. Walk is expected to last approx. two hours. 4 miles.

Stout footwear, protective clothing to suit the prevailing weather conditions and reasonable mobility will be required. Please ensure that you bring water and snacks; this is particularly important in hot weather.
The event may be postponed if adverse weather is forecast.
