A circular late-afternoon walk led by Isobel Geddes, with David Dawson.
A 4-mile walk above the Vale of Pewsey – starting below Knap Hill causewayed enclosure, climbing up to Adam’s Grave long barrow, then Alton Barnes white horse, a view of Rybury and the Wansdyke.
Two hours walking, plus multiple stops to discuss the archaeological and geological features.

- Stout footwear, protective clothing to suit the prevailing weather conditions.
- Reasonable mobility will be required – sufficient for a walk of 3 to 4 miles, with some uphill tracks.
- Please ensure that you bring water and snacks; this is particularly important in hot weather.
- The event may be postponed if adverse weather is forecast.
