Young WANHS – An Unofficial guide on being an archaeologist

Meet a young archaeologist – Dudley Staniforth.

Dudley was once a member of our Young WANHS club. He is now a professional archaeologist working for Wessex Archaeology.

He is coming along to talk to us about his work, how he became an archaeologist and show us some of his finds. There will also be archaeological activities to take part in.

Young WANHS is our Saturday morning club for 7-14 year olds interested in history, archaeology and natural history. Regular sessions are held throughout the year on the second Saturday of the month, usually at the Museum, from 10.15am – 12.15pm. There’s no annual fee, but pre-booking is essential to help us plan the sessions. Each session costs £5 per child.

New members are always welcome!
