Open Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.

Young WANHS – Post Excavation activities

Post excavation with finds from the Roman site at Cumberwell, near Bradford on Avon.

We will find out what post excavation is, and what we do and don’t wash! The group will have a chance to do some finds washing to contribute to the actual project and then have a chance to see some of the special finds that have been uncovered. There is then a chance to illustrate some of the finds or others from our collection.

Session run by the Wiltshire Archaeology Field Group.

Young WANHS is our Saturday morning club for 7-14 year olds interested in history, archaeology and natural history. Regular sessions are held throughout the year, usually on the second Saturday of the month, at the Museum, from 10.15am – 12.15pm. There’s no annual fee, but pre-booking is essential to help us plan the sessions. Each session costs £6 per child.

Note – Young WANHS February will be held on the 15th

New members are always welcome!
