antoninianus

Description

Summary: 1 copper alloy antoninianus of either Victorinus or Tetricus I struck at an uncertain Mint, 269-274 AD, part of a hoard of 5260 coins, found at Aldbourne, Wiltshire, by G. Palmer in the early 1990's. This is a barbarous coin, and it appears that the forger cut the die as he saw the original coin, hence Pax on the reverse is orientated the incorrect direction.
