Young WANHS is a Saturday morning club for 7-14 year olds interested in history, archaeology and natural history.

Regular sessions are held throughout the year on the second Saturday of the month, usually at the Museum, from 10.15am - 12.15pm.

There's no annual fee, but we do ask for pre-booking to help us plan the sessions.  Each session costs £5 per child.

New members are always welcome!

Recent sessions included Geology, Romans (inspired by the BBC Civilisations series) and a special celebration of the Stonehenge & Avebury World Heritage Site.

Young WANHS also get out and about for walks, visits and excavations.  They have taken part in excavations at Marden Henge, recorded medieval church graffiti and joined the Wiltshire Archaeology Field Group for a morning at the Bromham/Rowdefield project, followed by another morning session sorting finds at the Museum.
