A lecture exploring the influences behind the Wessex Airscapes: Elevating Wiltshire exhibition.

Lecture by Patrick Dillon.

Patrick wrote the book for the Elevating Wiltshire exhibition and curated the display of artefacts and documents that accompanies the paintings and photographs. He will talk about Anna Dillon and Hedley Thorne’s connections with Wiltshire, the influences on their work, and the contribution that art and aerial photography make to appreciating and understanding the landscape.

Patrick Dillon is a cultural ecologist. He is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Exeter and a former member of the Council of the Wiltshire Archaeological & Natural History Society.
