Thinking about volunteering? Why not join our friendly museum team.

Volunteering can be hugely rewarding and is a great way to meet new people and develop skills. Our growing team of 120 volunteers play a variety of vital roles in supporting the Museum in all that we do. We can offer opportunities in:

  • Front of house and visitor engagement
  • Community events
  • Education
  • Maintenance, decorating and gardening
  • Mailings and administration
  • Student volunteering

Community Advisory Panel

Want to be a part of a once in a lifetime opportunity to create a new museum space? We’ve got some big decisions coming up as we begin designing what our future new home in the Devizes Assizes Court might look like and we want you to be a part of it!

We are looking for up to 10 members of our local community to join our community advisory group. This group will meet four times a year and will help to shape and share our plans for the future of Wiltshire Museum. Gardening Volunteer

Regular fortnightly Saturday Morning sessions maintaining the garden to the rear of the Museum, making it a warm and welcoming place for visitors, volunteers and staff.

Equipment provided – but bring your own gloves and sensible footwear.
