ONLINE LECTURE: Boles Barrow: excavations old and new

Boles barrow on Salisbury Plain is a monument much talked about and little published. Over the last few years research in the archives has pulled together some of the findings made hundreds of years ago and also unearthed long-forgotten documentation surrounding human bones, bluestone and poetry. This talk will highlight these discoveries alongside some recent fieldwork there and possible plans for the future.

Richard Osgood, MBE, is a senior Archaeologist for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and has worked extensively on Salisbury Plain. He works with Operation Nightingale, an initiative to assist the recovery of wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans, by getting them involved in archaeology.
