Open Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.

Young Curators Club: Animals in the Museum

Come and explore the Museum to see how animals are depicted in the collections and create a detailed drawing, a museum replica or create your own mini natural history display.

Activities will include:

* A gallery trail to explore our natural history displays and animals depicted on objects in the archeology galleries.
* The opportunity to see some of the natural history collections not usually see by the public.
* A chance to create detailed drawings, a museum replica inspired by some of the objects you have seen and your own mini natural history display.

Our Young Curators club is for 8-13 year olds and will take place, as before, on the second Saturday of each month (usually). Sessions are focused around our collections and exhibitions, and subjects we look at include archaeology, history, natural history and art. Take part in practical activities such as archaeological recording, experiments, art, and walks to local archaeological sites. There are also opportunities to visit or take part in local archaeological digs taking place.

There’s no annual fee and new members are always welcome.
