Roman armilla

Fragment of a decorated copper alloy Roman penannular bracelet, probably the terminal of an armilla, dating to AD 43-99. Similar bracelets have been identified as military armilae associated with the early occupation of Britain. Found in Edington, 2019. Donated to the Museum by WANHS Member and former Trustee, Julie Swabey, Westbury.
