Horse and Rider Brooch

Roman ‘Horse and Rider’ brooch made of copper with enamel decoration found at Cold Kitchen Hill Roman temple site. ‘Horse and Rider’ brooches are frequently found on Roman religious sites and may depict a native god – perhaps similar to the Roman god Mars.
