A 6-mile afternoon walk onto the hill above the Deverills
This walk takes us into the hill above the Deverills. Starting at Kingston Deverill, we will cross a ford before heading up to Summerslade Down. This stretch will take us through some picturesque valleys with strip lynchets and close to a modern stone circle before we cross to the other side of valley to Cold Kitchen Hill with its Neolithic long barrow.

Start time: 1pm.
Length and Time: 6 miles. Hidden Wiltshire walks usually take 3 to 5 hours depending on the length of walk, terrain and weather.
Meeting Point and Parking: Meet by the Church in Kingston Deverill. There are some parking spaces outside the church.

- Stout footwear, protective clothing to suit the prevailing weather conditions and reasonable mobility will be required.
- Please ensure that you bring water and snacks; this is particularly important in hot weather.
