Quentin Goggs on being on the Jury

A man had come out of a pub in the Market Place in Devizes, obviously having too much to drink and he ran amuck with a car jack and injured somebody, I can’t remember any names, quite badly. And he was up before the court for Grievous Bodily Harm. We found him guilty and I remember quite a long debate in the jury room. Details have long gone. But we found him guilty in the end. I’m afraid I can’t remember anything about the Assize Court itself…other than that I was very pleased that I served on the Jury because it’s the only time I have ever done so.
