Peter Hughes and Bugle Practice

And one of the boys lived in this house before we moved in. he was in the brigade and he was out there practising his bugle when a case was being heard in the assize courts. And a judge ordered a policeman to come round and tell him to shut up. Well unfortunately, the policeman was a friend of the family and the boy didn’t take him serious. So, he went back into court and then the bugle started up again. So, the judge said “Go round and tell him to stop. And if he doesn’t stop, arrest him.” Anyway, the boy did take it seriously after the second time. But… you know its one of those things you never expect to happen.
