Description

Summary: 1 body sherd in a coarse fabric with moderate brown inclusions up to 6mm in length, with a smooth black interior and a red/brown exterior decorated with bird bone ends in parallel rows, found in layer 9 in the north east chamber, from West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Professor Stuart Piggott and his staff and students at the Department of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, 1955-56.1
