Research results

A Bronze Age gold bound amber disc-shaped pendant, found with a primary cremation in Bell Barrow Wilsford G8, excavated by William Cunnington. This was a richly furnished burial, containing a number of gold pendants, inlcuding a second identical pendant to this one. There is a v-shaped perforation on the edge, suggesting the disc was used as a pendant - however, this might be a secondary addition.
