Description

Summary: 4 sherds, including 2 rim sherds, 2 with exterior red coated and interior dark brown to black, ornamented with horizontal irregularly incised lines, vertical lines and circular punch marks, the two rim sherds of fine polished grey red coated ware with fingertip impressed decoration below rim, from the iron age period, from the early Iron Age settlement at All Cannings Cross Farm, All Cannings Cross, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr B H Cunnington and Mrs M E Cunnington, 1911-22.
