Description

Identification note: original drawing for engraving by G. Hollis was used as frontispiece to the Stonehenge section of the Hundred of Ambresbury in Colt Hoare's Modern Wilts vol 2, 1825. note in ink at foot of drawing wrongly states that it is frontispiece for Ancient Wilts, for proof copy of engraving see carnac 1982.8098 with which this is mounted
