Description

Summary: 1 body sherd in a fine fabric with moderate white inclusions up to 3mm in length, with a smooth black interior, and a smooth undecorated dark red/brown exterior, found in the ditch cutting the turf line, under the mound on the old ground surface, from West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Professor Stuart Piggott and his staff and students at the Department of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, 1955-56.1
