Description

Summary: 1 piece of worked iron. A rod with a square cross-section bulbous at one end tapering down. Other end folded over, with rest broken off. Possibly part of a bridle. From the early Iron Age settlement (early La Tene period) at Swallowcliffe Down, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire. Excavated by Dr R C C Clay, 1925.
