Description

Summary: 1 body sherd in a medium fabric with sparse white inclusions up to 4mm in length, with a rough black interior, and a dark brown exterior decorated with haphazard stab marks, found in cutting V of the E-W section in disturbed material between stone holes 43-44, from West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Professor Stuart Piggott and his staff and students at the Department of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, 1955-56.1
