Description

Summary: 1 of a pair of Early Saxon small-long brooches, square headed with wide crescentic foot, made from leaded gunmetal with tinned surface, iron pin with textile evident, from left side of skeleton, paired with 1990.1.425, from the pagan Saxon cemetery called 'Black Patch' at Blacknall Field, Pewsey, Wiltshire, excavated by Ken Annable and the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, 1969-1976.
