Description

Summary: Card showing a small black and white photograph of Sgt. M.A. Rogers, V.C., M.M.. of the Second Battalion The Wiltshire Regiment. The other part of the card is a colour photograph of his medals, with an annotation stating that Sgt. Rogers won his V.C. folowing the breakout from the Anzio beachhead in June 1944. A printed annotation on the back of the card states:-'Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment Museum. Sgt. M.Rogers, VC, MM, The Wiltshire Regiment. Awarded the VC for Conspicuous gallantry at Ardea in Italy following the breakout from Anzio in June, 1944.'
