Research results

Two flint end scrapers, excavated by Paul Ashbee from Beckhampton Road Long Barrow in 1964. Unfortunately, there is no record of the original context in which these flints were found, however, they are illustrated in Ashbee's publication of the excavations and described as being from either the Long Barrow mound material or from the pre-mound surface. This would suggest that they date to early neolithic or earlier.
