head of statue

Description

Summary: Head from the statue of a young Queen Victoria, damaged. The statue was made by a Devizes stonemason in the mid 1800s, to fit inside the niche of the door at 45 Estcourt Street, in Devizes. The statue was removed from The Green in Devizes in 2008, after repeated vandalism. A new head has since been made, and this one, the orignal is now part of the collection of Wiltshire Heritage Museum.
