Description

Summary: 1 bag of mixed Iron Age, Roman and Medieval pottery base, rim and body sherds: the Roman sherds include greyware, black burnished ware and colour coated ware; 1 piece of iron slag, possible furnace bottom, 1 very thin piece of worked metal (bronze?), and 1 piece of Roman tile with keying marks, collected from Tunnel Villa/Popplechurch Settlement, Aldbourne, Wiltshire by Andrew Sewell in 1985.
