Identification note: All four paintings are © Courtauld Institute of Art.

Summary: 4 black and white photographs of four paintings commissioned by Richard Colt Hoare on his Italian travels. 1 - The Forum of Nerva, artist A L Ducros. 2 - Lake Nemi, artist J R Cozens. 3 - Storm at Sea, artist F Nicholson, RCH paid the artist 25 guineas for this painting in March 1813. 4 - View of Lorento, artist J Wanuck Smith (RCH's instructor).
