Summary: A Sub-rectangular bronze age sponge finger stone, probably exacavated with a primary beaker burial in bowl barrow West Overton G6b.

Research results

A bronze Age sponge finger stone, excavated with a primary beaker burial in bowl barrow West Overton G6b. This stone is one of a pair found with the burial and are a type of tool which are thought to have been used in leather working, with them being rubbed against the leather during the finishing process. Both stones from this grave have a likely source in Devon or Cornwall.
