Description

Summary: 1 Iron Age bronze awl. Shaft square in cross-section tapering to a flattened tang at one end, other end tapers to a blunt point with signs of wear. From Pit 22 at the early Iron Age settlement (early La Tene period) at Swallowcliffe Down, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire. Excavated by Dr R C C Clay, 1925.
