Museum CLOSED – Sunday 18 March. Due to the snow, we will not be opening the Museum today. We should be open again on Monday (19 March).  Thank you to everyone for their support and patience during the adverse weather.

Saturday 3 March

• The Archaeology in Wiltshire Conference is CANCELLED. We are very disppointed to have had to take this decision, but it is clear that travel will continue to be difficult and may be dangerous over the weekend. Our thanks to all those who have put so much effort in preparing for the Conference. We have not yet thought about whether we should try to arrange another date when the weather may be kinder to us.
• We have posted information about the cancellation to Facebook and Twitter.  We will now be doing our best to contact those who have booked for the Conference. We can easily contact those who have booked online (one of the many reasons we encourage people to do so!).We will be emailing members of our Archaeology Field Group and those other people who have booked by phone of at the desk for those we have contact details for. We will then have to phone those who we do not have email details for. We will also be emailing speakers, stall holders and organisers.
